Wednesday, July 3, 2002. 1124pm. Seoul, Korea.
well, at least i'm updating a little later than usual.
today my cousins and i went to lotte world. this is one of the amusement parks in korea. one of the most distinguishing features about this park is that about 70% of it is indoors. that's right, water rides and rollercoaster is inside. i thought that was pretty nifty. if you know anything about korea, lotte is a huge company that seems to be involved in a lot of things (think of philip morris and kraft). there is a lotte hotel that connects to lotte world and a shopping mall and an ice-skating rink (where there were more kids learning speedskating than figure skating) and a bowling lane. you kind of have to see it to understand what i'm talking about. although it was pretty big, it's nowhere near the size of great america in gurnee. also, i think the best way to describe it is as a second-rate disney world. however, if you go there with fun people, it's totally worth it. i was having fun on the rides up to the minute that i started getting motion sickness. i got really nauseated and felt like throwing up. i don't know why, but i've noticed that i've become more susceptible to motion sickness. even on the drive back from philly (OIL), i started getting really nauseated and just miserable. when i was younger, i would usually get sick on the drive to chicago, especially when it was hot and sunny but now, sometimes, i get sick even in short car rides. is this because i'm getting old? ergh...i hope not because then that'll mean that i have to carry dramamine around wherever i go. maybe i should get my inner ear checked out.
