Sunday, July 14, 2002. 1029pm. Iksam, Korea.
as you can tell, i'm not in seoul anymore and i'm back to posting at night. i don't really have much to say, so i'll just write what i wrote in my journal.
"i'm in a bus to iksam to spend a few days with my mom's side of the family. although the drive is supposed to bea bout 3-4 hours, i don't really mind. the passing landscape is beautiful, very different from the flat 3 hours to and from school. there are mountains here that are covered with trees and because of the rain, everything looks very lush. also, the low cloud cover has enveloped some of the mountains giving them a mysterious look. we just passed a large white building within the mountains. there's a long winding road leading to it. i think it's a hospital because there is a large green cross,b ut then again, that's a rather impractical place to build a hospital." -230pm.
"we're at a rest stop now. i'm not really hungry or thirsty nor do i have to use the bathroom. i just gotout to stretch my legs a bit and take a look around. the rest stop is a bit unique compared to the rest stops at home. there are little food stalls alnogside the bathroom. behind the food stalls are more mountains. beolgok service area is the name of the stop. it's very convenient and beautiful."-407pm
