one more thing: props to all the fans out there at city hall, gwanghwamun, all the riverside parks, all the stadiums, all the restaurants and bars, and at home. instead of getting rowdy and breaking into a riot at the loss, they continued to cheer for their "taeguk warriors". even as my nieces and i tried to hail a cab, we heard chanting from all along the street. we joined in at intervals because if we didn't, we might start crying. hearing those cheers and those chants, "daehan minguk" and "oh pilsung korea", made this evening a bittersweet memory. holla back mah korean peeps! tonight, i am proud to be a korean.
