Monday, May 20, 2002. 655pm. Seoul, Korea.
hmm....i hope i'm not going to be spending all my time on the computer while i'm here. too bad nobody is online at the same time i am, for the obvious reasons. anyway, took the subway for the first time today. although my dad kept telling me not to go out by myself in seoul, my cousin thought that it would be good for me to go out, otherwise, i'd be stuck inside all day and that would defeat the purpose of coming to korea. so i took the subway and kind of wandered around seoul for a bit and on the way back, i didn't realize i was supposed to transfer unto another train until i passed the point where i was supposed to transfer. so i had to go back and then get on the right train. after i emerged from the subway, i had to get on the bus to get back home. of course, i got on the wrong bus. i then had to take another bus back to get back to the subway station in order to take the correct bus. luckily, my cousin has a prepaid pass for mass transit so i didn't have to worry about the bus and subway fares. my next adventure: buying something. i still haven't gotten used to korean money and i haven't bought anything yet. hopefully, i'll go out with someone, like my nieces (who are only 4 and 6 years younger than i am), so i don't look like a total fool.
